Since being furloughed I have been trying to keep busy,spring cleaning,doing up a mirror and cupboard but as Kevin is working from home I decided some volunteer session were needed.I keep missing the Goodgym ones so I decided to register with activeNewham

Today was my first session,after a brief intro I was assigned to delivery team. We had to collect 15 boxes ready to distribute to vulnerable residents living in E15. The scheme has several hubs covering the whole of Newham. The aim is to distribute 120 boxes 5 days per week.

Had a great day and seeing how grateful the people were was as we all know the reason we help out.

I wonder what Wednesday will have in store for me.

Another day volunteering with the team from activeNewham

Started with multi deliveries to a local block of flats and thanks to help from the building team and quick seamless delivery.

I was then asked to sort a delivery of fruit that had arrived which is to be sent to a local school that is helping vulnerable children....lots of bags of apples with sadly a few bruised ones which need to be removed,I came home smelling of apple juice.

Back again on Friday,looking forward to seeing what treats have been donated for us to pack and delivery to our local residents
