Dave and Aoife had such a good catch up chat that we forgot to take any task photos 🫣!! So enjoy a smiley Dave in a hairband before parkrun 😁!
Very happy to report that there was very little litter to collect around the pond today.
We saw a few groups who had donned hi-vis to help keep the area neat and tidy.
We also had the keen eyed mini GG-er Aida pointing out all the wildlife for us before she decided to have a snooze.
I collected a few fallen conkers, including one that Aoife reported was a few centimetres from knocking me out!

We interrupted lunch being served in the little woods at Baffins Pond where a family were happily feeding monkey nuts to the squirrels, rats, pigeons and crows! We paused to admire a squirrel eating whilst upside down and then got on with our litterpick.
It was great to meet Maelys on her first mission!

The rain had cleared in time for our litterpick at Baffins!
We met some lovely animals on our walk round: dogs, squirrels, rats, waterfowl and butterflies.
I'm jealous that Dave also saw a beautiful fox cub enjoying the sunshine.

We passed Baffins on Sunday afternoon and decided just to see if we might find some unfound tokens from The Easter Hunt..... we had a lot of fun seeing who could find the most.
We found lots of white ones - they were so well hidden!
And Sarah found the most, much to Wilson disapointment
Now all I need to do is remember to return them to BPA!
UPDATE: Dave also went back and found a red one and a blue one which he had to use a screwdriver to get out?!?!? Nice one Dave 👍

Team GG rocked up to Baffins Pond for the annual easter egg hunt. A firm fave task for us and we were soon out with our coloured tokens hiding them away for the kids to look for.
I even managed to find one from last year that was so well hidden it hadn't been collected for all this time!
Once the hunt was in full swing we had a visit from the guest of honour themself, the easter bunny!!
And for an eggs-tra treat we were able to see Mama Swan sat atop her nest with her own 4 eggs kept safe and warm.

Dave, Yvonne and I walked around the pond searching for litter and were very pleased to report there was very little!
We were told that a local resident litter picks most mornings - she is certainly doing a good job! 👏
