Woking News Please remember this weekend you are invited to a BBQ to celebrate all your hard work. This will be held at our house 3pm onwards.

Last Night Due to the amount of rain and horrible weather, last nights task had to be cancelled and their was no other task to go to. So instead a mini bootcamp and run took place.

So despite the rain, GG members battled with the rain and worked hard!!

Next week Please remember to sign up for next week's task. We are heading to Woking Foodbank

GG woking take on a tree

Last night GG members ran to Beaufort Primary School for some trimming and cutting. There was no fencing to paint last night, instead there was a tree to trim and cut back. With the men on the job last night the job got done! A big well done to Wayne, Mark and James for your hard work!!!

Next week

It was a quiet night with GoodGym last night. Don't forget the evenings will be getting light so the tasks will be far more appealing. We are heading off to the allotment next week and we also have some Woking Hospice flyers to handout along the way.

Allotment

If you have anything you would like to plant in the allotment then please let us know. Also we are looking for gardening tools - if you have any old gardening tools then please can you donate them to us :)

GoodGym Woking take on the cold wintery weather to help at a local Primary School

It may have been freezing temperatures but that didn't stop us last night. With a 4km run to the Primary school soon warming us up! We kept to the main roads last night and headed to Beaufort Primary School. We got back to work on our painting. With almost the car park fencing painting done. We have been helping the primary school since last year and we have helped with the fence painting, gardening and clearing the shrubs from the front of the school. I think everyone's hands last night are looking forward to the warmer and lighter evenings.

A grand total of 8km was completed by all last night!

A big well done to everyone, 8km completed! Also a big well done to Anne, who is almost at her 50th good deed! That black t-shirt is just a deed away!

Next week

We are heading back in the same direction, but will be a Brockhill for some indoor painting! A WARM task!! Don't forget to sign up! We will be meeting a WWF car park again!

Woking GG went off road to get to Beaufort Primary School!

The Last GoodGym grouprun for the Year and we were off to Beaufort Primary School. We had a wet and muddy run to school, heading on a different route. The weather had been shocking all day so we got lucky to miss a heavy down pour. Unfortunately due to the weather our task had to be changed, so instead of painting outside we had the task of breaking apart a wooden plant container with a hammer and carrying the the wood to the skip. It was a short task but we did it in style!

We enjoyed the 4km run back along the canal and managed to make it back just before the rain came down.

A big thank you to everyone for joining us this year! We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

We are back on the 9th of January for some gardening action!

10.5km Completed by GoodGym Members and some painting in the middle!!

What an excellent effort from everyone. Last nights group run was a the longest run we have ever done. We ran to Beaufort Primary School to help paint their fence panels which we started earlier in the year as Mark put it we are 'Fencing Masters'.

Equipped with torches we set off from Woking Leisure Center to the canal to make our gentle run to Beaufort Primary School. With only 'one' wrong turn we arrived with all the painting tool ready for us. With two more panels finished and I'm sure we will be back to help complete the rest. A massive well done to everyone, not every week is such a long run but everyone did such a great job!!

Well done

A big well done to Tiffany who completed her first sprint duathlon a couple of weeks ago!! We look forward to seeing you enter more races. Also if anyone is interested in a rough runner race and would like to join is - speak to Tiffany!! 123170

Last weekend I took on the OCR World Championships. Just a couple more races left for the season. 123173

Back to School

We were back at Beaufort Primary School to help give the fences a second life. We have enjoyed helping out at the Primary school in the past as you can really see the difference and enjoy giving something back to the community. We have previously helped out with the front gardens and started painting the fence around the car park. Last night we were back to continue on with our previous task.

It was great to be welcomed by a new member, Natasha. It was lovely to meet you and we look forward to seeing you in the future at more of our group runs.

Lost and Found

We also welcomed back Mark who we had thought we had lost after last Thursdays hill session. Mark decided to go on a little adventure and got a little lost on his own. We are glad to have you back in one piece.

Well Dones

A big well done to Woking GoodGym member Veronica on taking part in The Wey Ahead event of 32Km. Also I took part in the Nuclear Rush event -12km Obstacle race and came 2nd overall female.

Next week

Next week we will be visiting somewhere new. We are off to Woking Food Bank to help out. We hope you can join us to help out such a good cause.
