14 GoodGymers have supported Boleyn Road Community Garden with 1 task.
Wednesday 29th March 2017
Last night we had the pleasure of light returning back into our sessions, we've had to wait a while for this - but damn it's good. Post work runs are now illuminated once more.
Had a little chit chat in the Aquatics Centre, Graham showed off his new and upgraded head torch (this one actually worked). Tim and Alice mentioned an awesome charity bike ride they did and showed a tremendous picture of them dressed as a tiger and panda respectively. Corking shot.
We warmed up with a variety of drills this week. Then straight into Siobhan's random question: "what's your favourite condiment?" A great selection of answers here. From the obvious ketchup and mayo...to mango chutney and jalapeno tobasco.
We then powered up our satellites receiving devices and cracked on. 3 and a bit kilometres to Boleyn rd. Myra had a plethora of tasks for us to do this week. Moving stones, building a stone border, filling it with earth, laying gravel in a few places...and probably more that I've forgotten. I noticed superb efficiency this week, how naturally everyone took on a job was just a bonus. A highly visually satisfying task it was...thanks and thanks alone to YOU.
After completing our task we casually trotted back to base and straight over to the social. This is the reason for the potential dullness and brevity of my report, woke up a little late - sorry! Was a great eve, really like bar 90's space.
Big shout out to Kelly, even though it was your first run you seem like a regular. Ace having you a part of it!
Tonight we are doing a one off run with some beautiful intervals in there too. Mobile Garden City on the cards. 7 30 meet at Aquatics centre...sign up here
