Three runners run 5k to meet Tina and Wilbur from BCP council Community Task force wet meet outside the Sovereign Centre we walked down the ramp to the underpass that we where going to paint we where greeted by Tina and Wilbur Tina had her daughter with her who would be cheering us on to get it finished. The colour chosen was cornflour Blue which was the wrong colour for the evening as Bournemouth where playing at home and they play in Red plus the opposition being Birmingham they play in Blue We got started on painting the roof the Blue did make it brighter Tina and Daryl had a competition to see who had the most paint on them i think Daryl won. We soon had the roof of the under pass painted and a good job it looked too we cleaned up and said our good byes Next week we are back to the Care Home We look forward to seeing you next week

** 8 runners ran 8.5k to clean up Boscombe beach**
Today was GoodGym Bournemouth's 1st anniversary and the sun shone on the milestone!
Big shout out to Daryl and Caprice who were there for the very first run....well done guys!!
And a welcome back to Sophie....good to see you again!
After a good catch up at Flirt cafe ,with much interest in the forthcoming Arts by the Sea festival....thankyou Andrea....we stepped out into the warm evening air to begin our brief warmup. Pandiculation done, we set off towards town and the pier. Dodging holiday makers and random dogs we stopped briefly at the pier to admire the awesome street art spiderman! A photo was needed.!...then we hit a fab pace as we swept towards Boscombe pier and tonights task of sweeping clean the beach.
Great to see Ross meet us at the task.....awesome effort....AGAIN!!
Litter pickers located, we ran a couple of groynes away to return on task and pick up all the rubbish! And what rubbish too! Many bags were filled which gave the team a great sense of satisfaction of a job well done!
Beer and a celebratory gathering was calling so we made short work of the Boscombe hill as we ran back towards town and Flirt cafe. Crowds of holiday makers made progress slow so Neil led the group off-piste across the Bournemouth gardens....great job!
Neil had also made some amazing vegan cakes to celebrate the anniversary ..... thank you ....they were delicious!!
And wonderful to see Lydia again .... thanks for all your efforts over the past year!
A fab job by all tonight....you are all amazing and can be proud of your GoodGym adventures :)
See you all in a couple of weeks x
