We arrived before the carnival started to help with general setting up and to set up our Hook-A-Duck stall.
We were raising awareness of the community volunteer group that regularly litter pick and have restored the pond to try and recruit more volunteers.
It was a busy day with lots of youngsters keen to try and hook a prize-winning duck to win different size cups of sweets.
There were lots of interesting stalls to look at, animals to pet and feed, donkey rides, owls to hold and feed, Punch and Judy, a classic car show, fairground rides and music and entertainment.

My Sunday started with my first of 3 GG tasks booked for today.
The Stream Team litter picking crew were back out pounding the streets, armed with pickers and bags. They tackled the stream again as well as a footpath that short cuts to a school.
After regrouping to count our haul and officially receive our new high viz we went to the pub for a hot drink.

Jen met with a small band of community volunteers to continue cleaning up the local stream area which is a litter trap.
4 litter warriors climbed into the dry stream bed and fought their way through the bushes and brambles before moving to street level and filled 8 bags in total.
The stream bed looked much improved and although we made inroads at street level there is much more to do when we meet again in 2 weeks.
