10 GoodGymers did an AMAZING job, delivering Christmas Goodie bags to families all over Exminster this evening!
Today's session was quite special. Jane joined us for the first time. It was great having you with us and we hope you come back soon again for more running and doing good! We also had Florence reaching 50 good deeds! Fantastic work Florence, let's all give her a big cheer!
We started our evening with a socially distanced run up and down the hills in Exminster. Great work everyone! We then smashed a circuit session, giving both our legs and upper body a full work-out. Our spot could not have been better for this, it was beautifully lit up by the villlage Christmas tree!
Spreading light on the darkest day of the year!
By the time we had completed our fitness session it started to drizzle a bit, but, as you all know, bad weather never puts us off! We quickly divided us into three groups and set off in different directions to deliver Christmas Goodie Bags to familes all over the village. These bags have been put together by Connect St Martins, who also have arranged a nativity trail through the village for families to follow. So lovely!
We certainly got very fit delivering all the bags, going up some very steep hills and clocking up a fantastic number of steps. Extra kudos to Lawrence who on top of all this had a 20 k run to get to the task and back again!
Once all the bags were delivered we celebrated with some socially distanced mince pies and a little chat. It was so great to see you all. I hope you all have a very lovely Christmas with lots of great runs!

7 GoodGymers braved the freezing cold weather to deliver Christingle bags in Exminster, so that this celebration could go ahead in a safe and socially distanced way!
What a great morning! 7 GoodGymers came walking, running and cycling to Exminster to help Connect and the Methodist Church deliver Christingle bags. It was great to see Lucy R in her amazing Santa Hat and Sarah in her very stylish Christmas leggings.
After a photo shoot by the village Christmas tree we quickly set off in three groups, fully loaded with bags. Our legs got a great work out with the many hills and our brains too, trying to figure out the house numbers in some areas ha ha ha!
We totally smashed the delivery and got over 100 bags out in an hour and a bit. Such good work!
Nothing beats starting the weekend with a good deed!
We finished off with quick mince pie and a lovely chat about what's coming up next: we have some great Community Missions listed and I hope I get to see all of you very soon again! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
