Congratulations Martin on completing your 50th good deeds.
There I was with a speech all prepared for Martin not realising that while I was busy watching the achievements of the group and who was hitting their milestone in deeds that they have been keeping an eye on me in return.
Guess you can call me Mr 300. (Sorry Martin didn't mean to steal your show)
Today 12 runners ran 5.4/6km (some covered more streets than me) to deliver leaflets about Croydon Healthy Homes but not missing the opportunity to promote GoodGym in the process. After all we were telling the residents about initiatives to help them save on their fuel bills, so why not tell them about doing good and getting fit at the same time. I had hatch together a plan to which all depended on members orienteering skills and hoping that the group that had Paul had a few Croydon locals as I had plans of a hill session that I wanted to do as part of our fitness session and knowing his track record (ask Ana) getting from point A to B is not one of his strong points. Thanks to Nicola and Martin all our blushes had been spared as they were in his group. We could stand down the search parties.
We were able to cover the area requested with a bit of time to spare so we ran over to mint walk for some hill sprints, despite all the best efforts Dovile is still queen of the hill with an amazing time of 13 secs. Can you dethrone her? After 3 attempts we headed back to solutions where we worked on our planks before finishing up with a few stretches and bidding one another farewell.
Martin how does it feel completing your 50th Good Deed?
It feels great. I love GoodGym - whether it's the group runs or coach visits. I can't believe I've got to 50 but it feels really good. Next stop 100!
Are you planning on going for a run on Sunday? Do you fancy a gentle 10K around Croydon, Lloyd Park and Shirley, finishing up with a community mission at Lloyd Park?
