Last night was very cold in Bath, but that didn't stop a group of dedicated GoodGym volunteers running out to The Foyer in Twerton to do some much-needed gardening and tidying the outdoor spaces. We ran nearly 7km in total and made a huge difference.

Welcome, Marion

We met at the leisure centre and welcomed a new runner, Marion, to the group. Thanks for coming along last night and we hope you will join us again soon!

Well done on 200 good deeds Emily!

Last night also saw Emily earning her 200th good deed which is a terrific achievement! As is custom at GoodGym Bath I presented Emily with her custom printed GoodGym t-shirt honouring her achievement. It has energy icons at the top to symbolise how she always bring infectious energy to the group no matter how tough things are and also has scenes of someone working with goats which is one of her favourite tasks with GoodGym. Well done Emily!

We ran out along Lower Bristol Road to The Foyer near Twerton High Street. This is a supported living space run by Curo for young people that have experienced homelessness or neglect. We were delighted to run along and help them out.

We spent the evening taking care of their outdoor spaces. Some of the runners hunted for litter in the car park, others weeded the flower beds and turned over the soil ready for spring planting and the rest of us cleared paths and swept leaves away to make the walkways safer and more accessible. It was great to look back at the end on the outdoor space and see what a huge difference we made.

Thanks

Thanks to Emily for backmarking for us, thanks to Mary for the pun and thanks to Ed and his team for hosting us!
