We were certainly off to a flyer for our first joint Stadium Runners/GoodGym session. Eight of us swiftly dispatched some 500 flyers promoting the Forget Me Not Hospice Colour Run through letterboxes in and around the Gledholt and Springwood areas.
Great to have Julie Wooton, Janet Shaw, Ian Du Feu and John Cottam along for the first time, in addition to established GoodGymmers Kati Law, Ben Godfrey and Alison Cottam. It was nice too to discover that I hadn't lost my touch and could still show the Stadium Runners one or two streets in Huddersfield they didn't know existed!
Thanks folks....great fun, a good job done and an excellent effort from all. Really good to have the Stadium Runners along as part of the group. Looking forward to next month's session already!

Due to a lack of leaflets we had a quick change of task tonight. So instead of flyering Fixby, tonights task was a litter blitz of Bradford Road.
However of far more significance was the fact that Huddersfield GoodGymmer Wendy Redmile generously donated tools, including secateurs, a pruning saw and a rechargeable worklight to our group this evening. The tools will be incredibly useful for our future tasks.
Wendy who is undergoing chemotherapy, has recently completed a challenge to wear a different hat each day for over 100 days, raising over £1000 in the process. The funds were used to support various local good causes, which included the new GoodGym tools. Thank you so much Wendy they will certainly get put to good use.
In addition to Wendy, tonights top taskers were Kati Law, Ben Godfrey, Louise Galvin and myself. Good effort guys!
