Last night was the first run back of the year.
Chris, Fiona and Rob met up to shake the cobwebs off their running shoes and run off all the food and alcohol consumed over Christmas and New Years. We met up and went on one of our flatter routes around Solihull to ease us all back in gently, there was definitely no new personal best on segments being achieved tonight.
After a good 5k run and a chat, we all made it back to base with no injuries and definitely glad we had all made it out.
We will be back next week for more good and running, hope to see you there.

With the dark night upon us properly now, we have had to cancel any future tasks with Fountains care home until the new year when the lighter nights are back with us.
Not to be put off by this, Chris, Rob and Fiona still meetup to go for a run in the rain. Chris took us on another one of his magical mystery tours, Fiona and I are never too sure if he actually knows where he is going, but Chris always manages to get us back to base in one shape.
Once we were back, it was time for a quick stretch and head inside out of the rain to dry off and have a drink to rehydrate.
We will be back next week, hope to see you there.

Unfortunately, last night's task was cancelled due to the lovely weather we were having at the time, as we would not have been able to garden in the heavy downpour of rain!
Not put off by this, Rob and Fiona still met up and went for a run. We set off made up the route along the way having a chat trying to dodge all the puddles and not getting splashed by passing cars.
We still managed to do a small hill sprint and a final push down one of our Strava segments to see if we could beat our PB's. Once we were back at base, it was time to warm back up and dry off with a nice drink.
We will be back next week, hopefully with no rain doing more good, hope to see you there.

Last night Rob, Fiona and Chris were back at Fountains care home to carry on with the gardening. Unfortuently Fiona was running late so met us at there. This meant Rob and Chris pushed each other all the way to Fountains care home, we were both knackered once we get there but felt good for the hard run.
Once we had caught our breaths back and Fiona had stopped laughing at us for how tired we were. We went in and met Michelle, who told us what tonight's plan was and had remembered to get the shed key off the gardener before he left for the day.
We set to work in the fading light, luckily myself and Chris had remembered to bring out head touches which helped light up the flower beds we were weeding.
After a good 40 minutes of weeding, we cleared up, put all the tools back in the shed and headed on our way. This week, Chris came up with another route back up a long slow hill, thankfully at the top of the was another one of Solihull's finest pubs.
We will be back next week doing more good, hope to see you there.

Last night Rob, Fiona and Chris were back at Fountains Care Home to carry on doing the great work in the garden area. After the very nice run down, we all caught our breaths and set to work.
Chris started weeding and tidying up the seating area, while Rob and Fiona started the hard job of weeding the big flower bed. The issue we had as neither of us are that green fingered and couldn't tell what all the weeds were.
After a good 45 minutes of work, it was time to tidy up and head back on our way. After a quick selfie in front of the sign, we started the long run back to the cars before heading off to rehydrate in the local pub.
We will be back next week, hope to see you there.

Last night, Rob and Chris went back for the second time to Fountains care home to carry on doing some gardening for them. It was a good night for a long run, not as hot as last time we ran down.
Once we arrived and caught our breaths back, we went in side to find out what tonight's task would be. Unfortunately, the shed keys had not been left out for us, not put off, we went down to the garden area to see what we could do. Once down there, we saw a large patch of weeds that we could pull out, so we set to work on getting that done. After a short amount of time, we got this done and decided to move onto weeding the strawberry planter and putting the bird feeder back up.
Once we had tidied up, putting all the weeds we had pulled into the green garden bins we set off back on our way to base, for a well deserved rest and drink.
We will be back next week doing more good, hope to see you then.
