Last night armed with our trusty wooden spoons and spatulas we bossed a leafleting job for Gorgeous Gorse Hill's Lantern Parade on 26th Nov.
We met local residents (including cats - yay) along the way and let everyone know what we were up to. With the rain holding off (double yay) and a dash round Lidl for post sesh chocolate (triple yay) we finished up all our assigned roads and were suitably pleased with our evening.
Thanks and well done!!

Wow! Well that was a Wednesday and a half!
We met at St Matthews to do a quick warm up and to introduce two new members Madie and Holly to what we get up to at Goodgym Trafford.
Then we power walked and chatted our way up to meet Fianna and Helen the Gorgeous Gorse Hill task owner.
We had some dead heading and planting to do in the three planters that brighten up Chester Road. Congrats to Madie and Holly on their first gardening job - smashed it!
That was so much fun!
We did some extra tidying and then power walked back to base!
Brilliant work everyone and see you again soon xx

last night we worked with Gorgeous Gorse Hill to start tackling their Avondale site which has gotten a bit unruly.
Encouraged by Euro footie fans on their way to the match, we weeded, hacked and dug out long grasses, weeds and removed bits of litter to give it back some kerb appeal.
We'll be back as it's a big job!
Well done and thanks :-D

In some of the windiest weather known to Manchester we headed out to find a sheltered spot to do a bit of renegade weeding.
Armed with our trusty tools and local knowledge we hunkered down and cleared a whole patch of paving up and had a run while we were at it too!
Then we literally got blown back to base!
Well done for braving the elements!
See you next time, Kate xx

last night we helped deliver flyers for a lovely community event in Gorse Hill.
Armed with our standard issue spoon and spatula we whizzed round the local area to raise awareness of the special event.
We even mostly dodged the rain!
Throw in a really good chat and we finished the evening LIT up with our success!
Well done and thanks Fiona see you next time
