It was great to see everyone for tonight’s GoodGym 10 year birthday run. To mark the occasion, we went all out for this week’s team photo by using a drone!
For tonight’s task we headed back down Lode Lane to Hob’s Moat library to do some more gardening for them and check on our previous hard work. Unfortunately Catherine wasn’t able to meet us but left us some bin bags so we could still keep on top of the weeding and do a general tidy. As we didn’t have any gardening tools this week it was handy work only - hence tonight’s pun.
The longer run to and from the task meant that there was no time for a fitness session this week - that’s not to say we didn’t work hard, the run back is mainly uphill and certainly wasn’t easy!
Next week we will be litter picking along a small stretch of the canal, so be sure to bring along a head torch!
See you then

Well done for braving the rain tonight!
Tonight’s task was a new one - we were helping out Hob’s Moat library doing some gardening for them.
Once there, Catherine showed us around and had very kindly prepared some oranges for us after our run! We got to work weeding the walkway up to the library and around the back of the building.
After this was completed, it was time to say our goodbyes and have our obligatory photo. The run was slightly longer than normal, so no time to squeeze in a fitness session, but the route was uphill on the way back, so a little harder on the legs. Unfortunately the heavy rain timed badly for our run back to base and we were certainly dripping by the time we were back at base! We were certainly relieved to be back in the warm and dry.
For our first September run, we’ll be litter picking in Tudor Grange and Brueton Park - so get your trainers out and I’ll see you there!
