Emily, Alice, David and Cherion were joined by new Goodgymers Hannah and Gary (welcome)!

Tasks for the morning included moving tables up to the top field, putting up marquees, carrying manure bags, and cleaning tables, ahead of the Apple Day tomorrow. Cleaning the tables was tougher than expected - we even used kitchen implements to scrape off the dirt (thanks to Gary's ingenuity).

Miriam was so pleased with our help she invited us back to set up the Christmas fair in December.

Just what are the requirements for a (city farm hosted) May Day Fayre?

We think - from past experience - these has to be sun-lounging goats, snack-hungry guinea pigs, strewn straw, well-used marquees, and home knitted bunting - and this wonderful group helped with the latter two yesterday!

Our brilliant crew - of Justine and Danny (on their first GoodGym good deeds - welcome!!), Anne, Matt, Michael, and Siobhan - turned Kentish Town City Farm's yard into a fayre-ready space.

Multiple marquees were checked for holes, built, and positioned - and lovely woolen bunting was draped and tied across it all - you'll see from the photos just how special it all looked :)

Our wonderful group were subjected to envious onlookers this morning.

We felt their eyes on us and our bunting.

Knitted bunting which we were carefully adorning the farmyard with.

We moved - they looked - we hung - they stared - we tied - they glared...............

..............those sheep were so very jealous of our wool-bound bunting!

This ace group - of Aaiza (on their first good-deed - welcome!), Andy, John, Lauren, Steve, and Thaina (also on their first good deed - welcome too!) - brought colour to Kentish Town City Farm this morning!

Over 60 minutes (and alongside our collective sets of fingers and toes turning from cold to frozen) this group dressed the farmyard and its festive marquees with stripy, polka-dot, and multi-coloured bunting, making everything ready for this weekend's festive fair 😊

Sometimes photos capture more than words alone, or even words at all, and this morning is one of those sometimes.

Our wonderful group of 10 (Alison, Angeliki, Caitlin, Emily, Lisa, Matt, Nivia, Sarah, and Steve) spent this autumn morning surrounded by train-spotting goats, marquee-chewing cows, and guinea pigs called Peanut and Pumpkin.

Four soggy Goodgymmers helped KTCF set up for their Apple Day celebrations; moving tables and chairs and setting up marquees under the close supervision of goats, donkeys, sheep, and a cow.

Ten Goodgym Runners met at Kentish Town Farm to help move some logs for the preparation of a Woodland School at the site. Most of us gathered at the usual Camden start numbered up and stated our favourite lockdown experiences. This range from goodgym missions to off-road bike rides on bridleways. We warmed up then set off on the 2.9km run to the farm with John leading and Paul back marking. On arrival we were met by Mel who talked us through our task and as a reward we were promised cuddles with the goats! ( have you seen those horns!) We moved to the back of the farm past the amorous gazes of the goats to start moving the logs. It was hard work but we managed to complete the move in good time. Towards the end we discovered a hedgehog nestled in the last of the wood. (The hedgehog stole the limelight from the goats for me) On our way out we feed the goats who insisted on cuddles and selfies! Thanks for running coming and doing some good.
