What an exciting adventure of a night.
9 of us went for a stroll around Pontcanna and sung carols door-to-door to raise money for Mencap - and Pete's World Record attempt at the London marathon!
At the start, we were a bit nervous but we really god into the swing of things - it didn't help the first two doors weren't very happy to see us!
But as we did more and more, we met so many amazing people including BBC Cymru celeb Shan Cothi! It was so heartwarming to see all the children in their Pyjamas getting ready for bed.
"You're their first carol singers" loads of parents told us as we sung our hearts away with them.
"We haven't had carol singers in years" another person told us as we sung a list of songs compiled by the fantastic Meg... Including a GoodGym Christmas song created by Lexi of Bristol!
We even met a few people who have worked with us like a teacher from Severn Primary School!
We did 2 hours of carol singing - raising a fabulous £136.55 to help people with learning disabilities/autism through sport! It was a great feeling at the end and we definitely had the feel-good festive factor - even though it was raining!
It wasn't just english carols though - Pete and Llion went all the way to remember the lyrics to a few Welsh ones which made it super special!
A few people went to Porters to do 'bandeoke' too - I'm sure Martin sang Jingle Bells with his outstanding rendition of the "ha ha ha".
To conclude, it was just so amazing to see children, parents and dogs come together jumping about and we even got a 5 star review for our singing. We will 100% be doing it again next year! :)
