We returned to The Red House this evening, to prepare the "Covid wing" which is intended to enable residents who are showing symptoms to self isolate.
The kitchen, bathroom and 3 bedrooms were cleaned top to bottom and the turn down service was lovingly applied. The walls were given a good scrubbing and the floor was given a once over with a very hard working hoover. Add in some bangin' tunes and in less than an hour the whole wing was sparkling clean.
Special shout out goes to Louise who, along with showing off her immaculate attention to detail in cleaning the kitchen, hit her 100th Good Deed!

Goodgym returned to the Mulberry Junction to complete what for now, would be our last task at the Junction.
Four returning Goodgymers welcomed Sarah, for her first mission. Sarah set about the task with the precision of a Broadway production. Dom and Becca gave leading performances that further cemented their growing reputation as fruit packers. They were supported by veteran fruit packers Nurjehan and myself.
By the time the final curtain was called, we had managed to pack 125 breakfast bags for the week to be distributed to those self-isolating in temporary accommodation. Mulberry Junction impresario Kelly then thanked the Goodgymers for all their hard work during this 12 week production.
With that the five goodgymers departed, ears glued to their phones eagerly awaiting the next call from their agents.

The breakfasts this week were prepared by 3 very enthusiastic volunteers from Haringey and Redbridge who braved the heat to make it to Mulberry Junction to lend a hand. Along with some very entertaining chat we managed to prepare over 100 breakfasts for the week to be distributed to those self isolating in temporary accommodation.

Becca and Steve from Islington, Amy from Waltham Forest, joined Haringey stalwart Nurjehan and I, for another round of bagging. Becca, paying her first visit to the Mulberry Centre, attacked the task like a seasoned pro.
Not before too long, various pieces of fruit, biscuits and juice were squeezed into 138 bags. Ready for those self-isolating in temporary accommodation. All done without any of the five cool cats, pulling any muscles.

Another week of breakfast parcels successfully sent out to those who are self isolating in temporary accommodation. Slightly fewer bags this week meant that everyone got an extra piece of fruit and some lucky folk got an extra cake! Mulberry Junction are extremely grateful for our help on this, it saves them a lot of time as we can properly wizz through the task with many hands on deck.
