It was a frosty morning when a group of goodgym do-gooders descended on junior parkrun today.

The children and parents weren't put off by the ice though, and we had over 100 finishers. Clare, Sam, Paulin, Olive and James marshalled the course, watching out for slips and slides. Anna handed out the finish tokens with icy fingers.

We just broke triple figures at junior parkrun today. There were goodgymers dotted around the course, high fiving on the children as they ran, and cheering them across the finish line at the end.

The icy weather didn't stop 77 kids from turning out this morning on Peckham Rye.

Anna tailwalked, collecting high fives along the way from fellow Goodgymers Maria, Elena and Sam who were marshalling en route.

A very wet junior parkrun in peckham this morning. As I walked to my marshal point at 8.55, I could only see 4 children coming to run! Luckily everyone was just timing it well to minimise rain time, and we had 41 finishers altogether by 9.30.

This doesn't count the few drop outs along the way, which meant Olive had her work cut out as tail walker / runner as she sped to keep up with the last runners. Sam, Maria and Clare were on the finish line.

Last junior Parkrun of 2024! 4 Goodgymers supported this morning Peckham Rye junior Parkrun such as Pauline as funnel manager, Maria as a marshal, Sam as bar code scanner and Olive as tailwalker. 73 children participated in this 2k run this morning.

Started in a drizzling rain 87 children finished their 2k run at Peckham Rye Park. Clare was a funnel manager and Sam and Olive were marshalling along the course 😊
