Five Goodgymmers brought the sunshine back to the park this morning! After several days of gloom it was lovely to be out volunteering in the sunshine. Our efforts were rewarded with seeing 63 juniors take part - a little quieter than last week probably because if Remembrance Day parades.

Between Karen, Claire, Emily, Maurice and Nigel we covered lots of roles today: ~ run director ~ event setup ~ marshals ~ timekeeper ~ barcode scanner ~ event close down ~ photographer ~ results processor ~ report writer.

Well done everyone, another great morning!

What better way to start your Sunday morning than being part of a team that gets 100 children physically active? That's what Nigel and Maurice did! Pre event set up, marshalling and course close down were on the menu today for the fabulous duo. Well done both of you!

Another Sunday, another junior parkrun, and another 5 GoodGymmers doing good things!

Nigel, Maurice, Kat, Emily and Karen turned out on a crisp sunny Autumn morning for the Halloween special. More effort went in by some than others… we had a glamorous witch, a fabulous skeleton, some Halloween leggings… and Nigel and Maurice!!!

Roles covered today were: Nigel - Run Director, set up and close down; Maurice - marshal and close down; Emily - marshal, close down and token sorting; Kat - barcode scanning and close down; Karen - set up, volunteer coordinator, photographer, funnel manager, token sorting and results processor. Kat volunteered at parkrun for the 100th time today, absolutely amazing! Well done Kat! That called for cake afterwards, any excuse!

It’s always so much fun at junior parkrun, and today was no exception. A chilly start to the day but Karen, Maurice and Nigel soon warmed up with the clapping and cheering for all the fabulous juniors - 72 today! Lots of roles completed between the GoodGym team - volunteer coordinator, photographer, marshals, timekeeper, a spot of tailwalking at the end, and post-event close down. Really sorry that Mark couldn’t join us, hope you feel better soon Mark!

Another lovely uplifting morning at junior parkrun! The skies might have been grey but nothing could bring down our mood as we enabled 78 juniors to run, jog, skip and walk the 2km route.

We carried out a whole range of roles today - Mark on event set up, course check, chief sweeper, superb warm up leader with one of our juniors as his assistant, handing out finish tokens, and event close down. Claire as tailwalker, kept company by one of our chatty juniors! Marjo as a marshal giving out high-5s. Nigel on course set up, course check supervising Mark on his sweeping duties, marshal and event close down. Karen as Run Director, volunteer coordinator, number checker and results processor. All in the space of an hour! Great job everyone!

Emily & Maurice had a wonderful (if not slightly soggy) morning helping all the lovely junior parkrun participants run their weekly 2K.

It's always an absolute joy to watch all the lovely, happy, enthusiastic (mostly) little faces as they take part in this wonderful, fun event.
