Stretford Public Hall Pocket Park

Stretford Public Hall's Pocket Park is a small area of public greenspace, adjacent to Stretford Public Hall.
Stretford Public Hall is a community-owned building in the heart of Stretford, run by Friends of Stretford Public Hall. We are developing the park into a wildlife friendly space, featuring wildflower meadows and fruit trees. The aim is to improve biodiversity in an urban area, adjacent to a major traffic junction. The park includes a small area of public benches and a large wall which we use for public art exhibitions. We have some funding to plant up one section of the park but it is currently very overgrown and needs clearing. We're looking for volunteers to help with the weeding and the planting.

WEED all about it!!!

Wednesday 23rd June 2021

Written by Kate Frain

Last night we weeded up a storm working with the fab Stretford Public Hall on the lovely pocket garden near the building.

We transformed an entire long path from weedy mess to tidyness!

Well done to all including a special guest Amy who nipped by to help sweep up and bagged her first GoodGym good deed! Great to see you and hope to see you again soon!

Can’t wait to return to help with the planting in a few weeks 😃
