Sunday 12th March 2023

Written by Martin Mcelwaine

Today we had 4 Goodgym members Ian,Sarah,Lis and myself leading from the front as we helped with the Annual Pre st Patrick's day parade in Leicester. We started at New walk it was a sea of green as we carried the St Patrick's day parade banner we had a pipe band leading us flag bearers of the 4 provinces and 32 counties of Ireland. we meandered through the streets to Jubilee Square we we heard an address from a representative of the Irish embassey followed by dancing and Music. The event was a great success and hopefully it's same again next year and it was great meeting Ian who undertook his first Goodgym event and Sarah who also volunteered at junior Parkrun absolute heroes.
