GoodGymers met at Tyning Field’s allotments on a dry Tuesday evening.
Our task today was cutting away all the brambles and stingy nettles in order to make space for a bench and sitting area.
Was a lovely evening visiting a new place for a task and seeing everybody whilst helping out :) well done everyone!
Thanks for the inspiration for the pun Dave!!

Six jolly GoodGymers met further afield this afternoon to spend a sunny session at Tynings Field Allotments. We were met by Caroline and some of her volunteers who had begun work on the area (Including our all time favourite type of volunteers - GOATS).
Acting Cagey
There was an area which was overgrown with brambles and nettles which needed cleared to allow us to put a cage in for baby geese to grow up safely without the threat of the birds of prey above.
We got stuck in for 45 minutes pulling out huge brambles and nettles and creating fox diversions from the hen areas, overseen by the geese and goats. We then got to work moving the huge cage over the assault course of an allotment, avoiding (or not) innocent vegetables and flowers along the way.
We left a delighted Caroline to head our separate ways back to Bristol!
