4 Goodgymmers turned out to donate to the Foodshare collection points in Windsor, helping those in need in our community. They ran, walked and cycled to donate food, drinks and some treats. Well done to eveyone who was able to help

St Leonards Avenue residents got update from Windsor Foodshare that stocks are desperately low. We rallied hard and came in with great strength to donate bags and bags full : 55 tins of fruit and veg; 27 tins of meat and fish; 14 bags of rice; 13 packets of biscuits; 5 bags of pasta; 5 boxes of cereal; 2 bags of lentils; 4 litres of squash; 8 litres of UHT milk; 800 teabags and 4 bags of chocolate eggs. Donations nearly doubled before midday and Fiona delivered more of everything and about 20 Easter eggs too. With a thank you card from the Avenue for all they do at Foodshare to help others. 🤗👍 They filled 3 and a half trolleys at the food bank who said a great big thank back. 🙏🏻 🐣

Zero Joe’s and Winsdor FoodShare have teamed up to help families locally where money is tight.
They’re suggesting customers at Zero Joe’s buy some toiletries or cleaning materials in addition to their shop, which will then be passed on to people via Windsor FoodShare. In the spirit of zero waste the containers are re-used.
They needed something to explain all this so I did a quick poster in Adobe CC.

Our first community mission in Windsor!
This was a mission that runners were tasked with doing at a time to suit them - solo or with buddies, on foot or by bike. Our aim was to support Windsor Foodshare by donating food at one of their collection points around town.
Fishy business - On Em's last mission with Maidenhead Waterways she was rescuing fish from the weeds that had been scooped out of the stream and throwing them back to the water. This week the fish weren't so lucky....Em dropped off 'a load of tinned tuna' for her good deed this week.
Party people, hey, it's Friday night! - Lara knows how to party. She rocked her Friday night by dropping off her donation.
A Royally good start to the weekend - Sula, Amy, Ana and Allora met at the Windsor Leisure Centre on Saturday morning (Amy stretched the Friday night deadline a smidge to make this possible), loaded up Amy's running buggy with tins, cartons and bottles and enjoyed a fabulous running tour of the Queen's home town, filling up the donation box at Waitrose en route.
A huge thanks to our tour guide Sula (the other famous lady of Windsor) who deserves a crown for showing us the sights so beautifully.
Ana is also deserving of a crown as she has now notched up over 10 GoodGym good deeds - nice work!
On our way back we stopped in Vansittart park for a few bonus running drills and a quick 'meet and retreat' round the 400m track. This took our distance for the morning to nearly 8km. This was a bit further than we had promised Ana, but we still had to chase her over the final 100m as she bolted off for her now legendary sprint finish.
We are looking forward to lots more missions in Windsor in the future!
