Tonight we welcomed big Steve Dunsby to GG Brum for the first time! He's one of my mates, yes believe or not I do have some!
Liam took on the run leader role tonight, taking us on a good 4k route, before arriving back in time for the World Cup match between England and Wales.
We had a good night and England put in a great 2nd half performance to beat the Welsh 3-0 and set up a last 16 tie against Senegal on Sunday.

Tonight we were joined by Izzy, who was visiting GG Brum from Wandsworth, it was great to have you with us :)
The task was the canal litter pick, so armed with litter pickers and bags we headed to the canal. We filled 2 bags, with Amy and Izzy finding a cone!
Once done we dropped the bags off at Aston Lock and did some intervals. The session was 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 1 minute, 45 seconds, 30 seconds, all off 30 seconds rest. Everyone worked well, with Ahindra and Arlo, commenting on how tough it was!
Once done we had a nice steady run back to 1000 Trades.

Tonight we were back at Oasis Foundry School for the first time in a while. We met Megan, then the session was clearing all the leaves from the school playground. We certainly did just that, filling 14 bags in total!
Once done we dropped them off in the Wildlife area ready to be composted, before heading back along the canal on a lovely September evening, through Brindley Place and back to 1000 Trades, covering 7k in total.

On a hot and muggy evening 6 Goodgymers headed out for just a run, as our task got postponed at late notice.
This evening Rob led us through a pyramid session, consisting of a fast 30 second sprint, paced 45 second run and a gently 60 second jog, before another set of 45 and 30 second sprints. It was great work by everyone, especially on such a warm evening!
Following the session, we had a gentle jog back to 1000 Trades before a few well earnt 'refreshments'.

Tonight's task was at Oasis Foundry, well Boulton School to be exact. We set off with Miriam leading the way, on arrival we were met by task owner Megan and our walker, Amy who was already hard at work.
The task was to get some gloves on (hence the pun!) and plenty of sanding wooden pallets, plus a bit of gardening and attaching felt to the pallets, before filling them with compost, so plenty to do! We spent a good half hour at the task, before heading off.
On the way back Miriam and Eve led us back along the canal this time, we had a bit of a run in with some 'hissy' geese, before getting back onto the road side and arriving back at 1000 Trades. That was a nice 7k done in total :)
