12 GoodGymers ran 1k and shovelled 32 tonnes of mulch to reach our pathway goal!
Thank you to everyone who could make and wanted to make my last session as Group leader.
Starting the session with a running loop around the perimeter of London Fields to get us rolling for the session ahead!
Delighted that after about 10 sessions of graft on the pathway we reached out target and the conservation area now has a great mulch pathway which will allow year round accessibility to the educational and park users as they get to use the pathway to experience the bio-diverse area.
Some fresh mulch was very useful and having Peter fixing 3 barrows, and having an extra barrow really boosted productivity!! An amazing cheer squad from some well hydrated locals helled our push along the pathway together with some quality workout tunes to keep us in rhythm as we shoveled.
Great team work, stories, graft and laughs made for a very productive hour of GG action!!
With the pathway complete we headed off to hang out as a GG group one last time! Awesome to remember the best and worst tasks we had done together over the last nearly decade of GoodGym action.
Its been a blast to hang out with such a fun group both tonight and everyone of the weeks over the last 9 years!
Always Love
Joel

Wetting the Baby tree's heads to celebrate Vinney reaching 50 GoodGym GoodDeeds!!
Helping our friends at the Stoke Newington common user group who keep all the good stuff going strong on the common.
After our weeding efforts a few weeks ago the shrubs on the mound and baby trees were looking health but thirsty. so after grabbing the trolley and filling up 120 liters of water we hauled it first over to the mounds to water the shrubs then after a quick refill of the water over to the newly planted baby trees to keep them happy, healthy and hydrated!!
All complete we headed off to celebrate 50 GoodDeeds for the GG legend Vinney!!

A dozen GoodGymmers from a range of groups (incl Tower Hamlets, Richmond and Lambeth) met Andrea for GROAD to help distribute duvets, bags, clothes, shoes and sandwiches to rough sleepers. The usual spot just off the Strand was busy as ever with expectant and grateful recipients. With the large number of volunteers, we finished early, grateful to return to our own homes for the night.

Richmond Report written by Liz (She/her)
A sunny bank holiday Monday is an extra bonus reason to get out and do some good! Today's 'anywhere' litter pick was just the task.
A group arranged to meet at Old Deer Park to pick together (let Liz know if you would like to be added to the group to keep up to date!).
Beth battled an Easter hangover to pick up other people's mess. Steph got up early to clear up evidence in the street of the night before. Anita cleared up around Manor Road and reported fly-tipping to the council too. Amy was surprised to find Twickenham Green quite clean. Liz and her son tackled the local park and filled four disgusting bags.
Back to normal group runs next Monday, finally back on British Summer Time! ☀️
