Edward Hill completed their first run in a new area.
Curious? Edward has just run their first session in another area. For that explorative spirit Edward is awarded the scout badge. A Scout is trustworthy

Bromley Report written by Adele Prince
On an almost balmy Bromley evening, two runners took to the streets to cover just under 10km to Wickham Hall, to shift some chairs up and down the stairs.
Two of our original sign-ups couldn't make it tonight due to other commitments, so Edward and I formed a top team of two to tackle the task at hand. Edward did his first GoodGym group run over in Lewisham last night and liked it so much he decided to come on tour to Bromley. Nice! Give him a cheer!
As our run was quite a long way, we briefly warmed up before heading out on the road. At last spring has sprung (or is it actually supposed to be summer by now?). It was a lovely evening to be exploring Bromley and we ran down some rather nice residential streets, skirting alongside a golf course (complete with water fountain!) and dipping into West Wickham and the Wickham Hall.
We popped inside and were shown our task for the evening, a quick one, but a helpful one nevertheless. The hall is a very busy building, with activities happening throughout the week, both during the day an in the evening. When the space is used by other groups, chairs often get left in odd places and, being quite heavy, become challenging to move. We set to, quickly putting them all back in their rightful places, before John gave us a little tour. We were very impressed with how well kept the hall is, everything is so neat and so well cared for. We heard about the fire that happened a few years ago, leaving the building without a roof and how this was all repaired over time, along with extensive refurbishment of the toilets (we had a look, they are really fancy, with sparkly walls and everything).
After taking a few selfies, it was time to run back. It's amazing how much your legs stiffen up when you take a break from running, but we were soon back in the swing of it and appreciating the fact that we could now run down the steep hill we ran up on our way out. Hoorah!
A brief stretch, an icy cold water and it was time to go. Next week Simon will be back at the helm, why not sign up and join him for some good Bromley fun?

Brent Report written by Enrique
Awesome run report written this week by the epic Enrique who we wish a very happy birthday to as well!!
Tasked this week to help the beautiful people of Harlesden Community Garden with a clear away of an overgrown perimeter walkway. It would be a 2.5k chase from base to clear a path, with this lot it’s bound to be a laugh. There were even some excited high kicks upon arrival (Well it was my Birthday) relieved to be notching up ever more years of survival!
So, the middle of May had us in sartorial muddles with her insistence on spots of rain, even slippery puddles. Powering through a well paced 2.5k, we dart through traffic and people on there way. But eventually We’ve arrived. . .
GoodGym Brent we are all relevant! . . .Ordinary people from all around, coming together to pound the ground, running to achieve something sound! The team are smart, funny, kind, some of the best GoodGymers you’ll ever find! Through the naff weather we were wielding spades, or being careful with razor-sharp clipper blades, even taking turns hauling rakes - Ah, the gift of back-aches!
Ellie our Captain, Drill Sergeant and all round amazinger thought (as usual) that this perfect scene was not quite right - not quite LEAN!
Bottom obsessed in a brilliant way, we were taken in two sets PAY! Commanded to complete a cunningly complex combination of crippling SQUATTT exercises!! All set and timed to the beat of J Lo!? Loads of fun - Mo power to yo Bun!
Our valiant efforts for a path of clear view would have been easier without the stench of Nettle Stew!! - That’s a powerful eco-friendly stinky brew!!!! Designed to repel all manner of pests - It’s a genuine wonder the birds don’t flee their nests!
NOTE Harlesden Community Gardens have an open day this Sat so get on down to say hello - Might even be some BBQ food you know!
So, after running hard then working harder it was back at base - A quick tidy then outta the place. With exhaustion causing the group to split we stopped to regroup as we neared RoundWood Park - About ½ way back. Rest time we thought: YAY! Ellie said: NO - NO WAY!
WALKING LUNGES x2 sets of 30 Now this was a real li-Berty!
Genuinely tired - Oh so hurty, what a great way to celebrate being 8 + 30!
See you next time!!!!
