Tower Hamlets Report written by Laura Williams
It was a lovely large group spread safely out throughout the Crisis Christmas Warehouse this morning.
Teams were dispatched inside inside, outside... all around this vast hub.
Alex and the outdoor clearing team worked wonders in windy, wet conditions overseen by the brilliant Ray(Ray): a Crisis volunteer of seven years. He helped the GoodGymers figure out what was what with this alfresco undertaking, making Operation Complex Forklift look a breeze in the process.
While Lucy and Aarti were on their first GoodGym Community Mission, and did absolutely amazingly, at this busy, productive morning task.
Thank you Alex, for heading up this outdoor activity, and for introducing us to Ray. AND for the report contribution, and pics!
The indoor team didn't do too badly either: shifting pallets, erecting fency, cleaning, clearing...Yet another hive of activity. Thanks to Peter who was on the inside squad helping us figure out what was what (thanks for all the shifts you've put in, Peter - you're paving the way for even more sessions, with your dedication and expertise).
AND, thanks to Becky, Nick and Tracey for some cracking pics.
What about the big, big, shout-outs?
First up, Nick M, who joined in January and today hit his 201st good deed. Many, many congratulations for that milestone number. And we don't need to tell you the differences you have made.
And last of all, let's take this opportunity to shout-out, as loud as we can, for our very own Ceiling, who this morning reached her 100th good deed, despite only joining us in JULY... Thanks Ceiling, for all you bring, on so many levels.

Thank you Laura - it's been a truly great experience and am just glad I've had the opportunity to be able to do "something" to help so many friendly (and grateful) people along the way.

Tower Hamlets Report written by Laura Williams
17 runners met at Weavers Adventure Playground (WAP) for this morning's busy line-up. Keen, raring to go, and not a face covering in the world capable of hiding the GoodGymers beaming eyes as they met for WAP: The Saturday Edition.
Wait: where did the sun go?
With the sun splitting the stones at 10am, the 10.56 heavens-opening was something of a surprise. But torrential rain is no match for task owner Alex, who'd already thought ahead and planned 70% of the tasks indoors and under cover.
The Deck Squad headed out into the rain getting drenched as they removed decking once again. Rohan, Izzy, and Nina were later joined by Stephen and Elena as they got thoroughly denched.
The Drawer Drillers (also including Boris's one-man Solvent Squad ) headed up by Joel and Sian worked rapidly assembling units negotiating tricky tools.
Elena's one woman team of shutter-scrubbing and cleaning wasted no time in blitzing the task before headed to the deck; ditto Stephen's indoor clearing job.
Johnny, Heather and Zoe formed Painting Part I, and tasked with painting the store cupboard, moving carefully and quickly around one another to blitz the job in the time available.
..while Painting Part II in the upstairs store room consisted of Becs, Jess, Eimear, Lucy and Paula.
A glorious site to see so many GoodGymers working safely, productively and socially. Let's hear it for a spacious Saturday task. And we'll be back to Weavers very very soon...Watch this space.
