Our knitters got down to business on this task producing a stack of hats for Innocent Smoothie's Big Knit Event.
Between them they have knitted over 40 hats!! These will be sent off to Innocent so they can feature on their smoothie bottles when their next campaign starts! Look out for them as you could get a local hat back!

Goodgym twitchers were out in force for this years RSBP Big Garden Bird Watch.
Members from across the country took an hour out of their weekend to count birds in their gardens, local parks and green spaces. It seems a lot of curious pets got in on the action too although the dogs were not quite as interested as the cats!!
From London to Leicester and as far north as Manchester many birds (and squirrels) were counted including:
Robin, Wood Pigeon, Magpie, Crow, Jackdaw, Parakeet, Coal Tit, Blackbird, Red Kite, Blackcap, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Woodpecker, Great Tit, Sparrow!
Its great to see such a diversity of birds and we hope this data helps the RSPB to continue to protect these fabulous creatures!
(If you have done your birdwatch but not yet registered, feel free to add yourself or let me know and I can add you).

Great task weldone! Although I only saw the same 2 pigeons that are always in our garden, we have a pigeons nest high in the tree that has survived all the storms better than our roof tiles!

Jane Pullen earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Jane completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Jane was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Baby Bank regulars Carol and Sheila were joined today by Jane on her first Goodgym community mission. It was the final session before Christmas, and it was planned to be a tidy-up before the break. The 3 of us took on the toy room, trying to bring order and sort through the bags that and been left in there as well as sort through the donations, as the piles were in danger of blocking the fire exit. During the morning, last-minute requests for new presents were still coming in, but luckily some new toy donations came in as well, so it all worked out in the end. Well done to Jane for getting stuck straight in , and helping creating some order before the facility closes for the holidays
