Woking Report written by Woking runner

Congratulations to the 139 children who took part in the 2K run around Woking Park this morning. Alex, who often volunteers for Woking junior parkrun, led all the way and finished first. 35 children managed a PB despite the heat and humidity and 22 were running with the group for the first time.

Abi, Adam, James, Katie and Phil joined me at the start to complete different duties this morning. All of us ran before volunteering and Katie and Phil ran back home too.

Well done GG team and thank you!

This coming Wednesday we will meet at Millbrook RSPCA in Chobham to perform our usual weeding duties.

Happy running to you all.

Philip completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Philip was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Fun in the sun 🌞

Woking Report written by Wayne

On this glorious morning 7 GG Members carried out various volunteering duties at the Junior Park Park Run.

James was the run director this morning and did an outstanding Job. Wayne, Katie, Phil, & Anne were out on the course as Marshalls cheering and supporting the 108 runners who took part. Adam & Abi were the tail walkers making sure no one was left behind.

Out of the 108 runners this morning we had 32 PB’s with the fastest time an amazing 07:01.🏃🏼‍♂️

Also a big congratulations to Abi who yesterday at Brooklands Park Run who became the fastest female around the course with an incredible time of 19m 35s. Abi was delighted with getting a sub 20…. 👏🏻

James did make an announcement of this achievement at this mornings Junior park run which Abi looked totally shocked. 😱

This Wednesday we are back at the Hills for a run. We are meeting at the Maultway Car Park. 😄
