Greenwich Report written by Alex Murtough (he/him)
Sunday felt like Summer.
Which was just lovely. Especially as two weeks previously, our intrepid group of GoodGymers encountered spitting, pitter-pattering, and outright wet-your-boots-it's-darned-freezing downpours.
Sunday was more of an ice cream and suncream day. And that brings smiles. Which were aplenty as Alex, Beth, Jacqui, Jatin, Jenny, Pooria (who was on his first GoodGym run - welcome!), Matthew, and I gathered around the fancy fountains by Green Park station. We were about to spend a few hours chatting and moving. Bliss.
And as we moved through St James's Park, Green Park (where we stopped to stretch and work our stomaches and cores), and Hyde Park, it felt like London was starting to feel more alive again. There's a buzz when people and groups congregate in the same space. And it was a joy to be adding to that with this lovely group of good-deeding supremos. We
We finished our jogging with coffee and ice cream in a quiet corner in Hyde Park. I always feel like I come away from these runs feeling rather lucky - lucky to have been around such interesting and lovely people.
Here's to the next one.
Nice one.
