Tonight, was the GoodGym Xmas do! We did a litter pick around the Jewellery Quarter. Before being greeted by carol singers in 1000 Trades.
We then headed to Cathedral Square for more festivities.

Three GoodGym volunteers headed to Stirchley Baths on the blustery day to help run the Stirchley Community Market! Amy and Sofeen set up tables and helped the community cafe bring in their stock. Michelle joined later in the afternoon and was a star cleaning up tables and giving out stickers! We enjoyed the market with Santa visiting and two choir performances! Set down was then swiftly done for us to all go home and hide from the storm! That night we were all so tired not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

This evening we gave the task a miss due to the cold weather and had a steady walk and run around the Jewellery Quarter. Watching out for the ice and slippy spots, we headed out for a 5km run and ending back at 1000 Trades for a cool down and warm up inside!

4 goodgymers (Amy, Sofeen, Louise and Olivier) helped out at the Stirchley Community market over the day!
Amy helped set up the market in the morning and helped throughout the day.
Sofeen gave the car park a good litter pick and then enjoyed the market!
Louise brought along her son to enjoy the community market fun.
Olivier came just as the torrential rain started for the busy end part of putting everything away and helped with taking down bunting, putting tables and chairs away before giving the hall a good old brush leaving it cleaner than before!
Thanks to everyone who came - any help is much appreciated!

4 good gym runners helped move bricks from the front to the back of the building at Dads Lane Community Centre in order to help complete a level paving area to be completed in the garden for wheelchair users.
We welcomed Megan who was a first time good gymer and enjoyed refreshments in some September evening sun whilst taking a mid way break.
Big thanks to Steve at Dads Lane Community Centre.

We were at Dads Lane this evening for a big brick move. Steve got on a great playlist which included Livin On A Prayer...the lyrics We're Half Way There felt apt as it felt like we were half way there for ageees. Eventually however we managed to move three big piles of bricks! Rachel was a machine moving bricks and also getting involved organising them with Liam. Sofeen was a welcome late edition getting stuck in too with loads of moving.
Kate from Ampersand projects needed the space for her forest school activity over summer and despite running a full day of sessions tomorrow also got stuck in with the brick move.
A very successful start to the week! Thanks everyone!
