Hi there!
What a fantastic evening we had at the Secret Garden!
8 GoodGymers attended this evenings task, a great turn out and our most since the summer. It was lovely to be back at a community garden that we've helped before, clearing up, weeding, brushing to get it back to where it needs to be. A huge shout out to Rosie, who has now achieved 12 straight months of missions, fantastic work!
We had our first group run in ages! A smallish distance to blow the cobwebs off!
A absolute highlight and a first for us was the appearance of a fox! A regular visitor to the secret garden, the fox has been cared for and fed and just sat there watching us on the task. We all stood and watched him and forgot to take our group picture haha.
A really important part of our missions is the social impact they have, and it was so nice to see some friends that we hadn't seen in a while, catching up on what we've been watching on tv, what fitness activities we've been doing (like a marathon walk by Rachel)
I look forward to seeing you all on future tasks, have a looks what's on here

Five runners attended and helped with chopping and clearing a fallen branch, cutting and strimming the grass, building and painting a fence.

8 GoodGymmers spent an hour clearing a huge planter of weeds, nettles, grass and thistles. It is now ready to be taken over by the local school who will hopefully be planting something colourful to brighten up the street. We worked hard and filled loads of bags with garden waste in a short space of time.
Thanks to Emma for joining us for her first Exeter mission after recently moving to the South West from London...we hope to see you again soon. And goodbye to Claudia who is sadly moving back to Barcelona...we will miss you a lot and hope you come back and visit soon!

Not quite Kool and The Gang, but 6 GoodGymers arrived at the allotment thankful of the sunny evening and keen to get stuck in. A good session of clearing overgrowth tropical jungle style, finding little creatures and sampling the growing fruit. Nice to clear a path around the allotment by the end of the session.

Tonight 9 GoodGym legends returned to a favourite venue: the gravestones of Whipton Community Hall!
We helped chop back bushes, tidy up weeds and clear litter from the area alongside the hall's regular gardening team. The grounds are looking super tidy if a little wet from our British summer.
Special shout out to Isabel from Lambeth who's dipping her toes into the South West's puddles to find out what it's like down here.
