7 Goodgymmers walked, ran, and cycled as they kicked off 2023 with a fun task in the Noel Park Estate in Wood Green.

Welcome!

Not only did we welcome a brand new year with tonight's run but we also said hello for the first time to the wonderful Mags who joined us for her first task. An absolute rock start - hope to see you again very soon!

And Big Love to our Nurjehan who took quite the tumble on her way to the start of the task but got up, dusted herself off, and ran to Goodgym anyway. A trooper - hope the knee heals well <3

A Box-ticking Exercise

The wonderful folk at Noel Park Big Local have big plans and dreams for 2023 and we helped them kick off one of their many plans tonight, as we traversed the Noel Park Estate mapping out the location of all the media boxes in the estate which they hope to turn into beautiful art exhibition spaces (with a little bit of help of many, many friends).

Before they can do so, they have to get the plan signed off and approved by the Big-Powers-That-Be-At-The-Big-Phone-Conglomerate that own the boxes so we helped them tonight by tallying most of them up and placing their locations on the map.

Mags and Nurjehan led the walking brigade tonight with a little bit of help from Gramps, while Dave, Alex, Dharmesh, and Charlie got their motors running and jumped on the Speedy Train around the neighbourhood.

Our team of heroes picked up the pace as if they hadn't just stopped for a few weeks of mince pies and port, and they whizzed in effervescent endeavour. By around 7:45ish most of the long avenues in the estate had been covered so we called it a night and both the Walking and the Running Groups got together outside the most Christmassy house we could find for some photos.

A solid start to the new year if I say so myself.
