Sheila, Rachel and Gillian welcomed Holly to her first ever Goodgym session at the Baby Bank. And it was straight in at the deep end! There was still a huge pile of donations that needed sorting - checking for cleanliness and that it's not too worn. Rachel, Gillian and Holly got stuck in, and before long there were huge piles of clothes stacked up, waiting to be put away ready for when needed. Gillian hit on the idea of piling up the donations bags as she emptied them, so she could convince herself that she was making progress, despite the donation piles not getting any smaller! Meanwhile Sheila was redeployed downstairs, answering the door for referral collections and more donations (yes, they kept coming!), helping put together referrals and cleaning baby equipment donations in between. A very busy but rewarding session, and great that Holly could join us

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
