SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nicola Marshall
It was wonderful to welcome new member Gemma to Goodgym for her first time last night. Gemma travelled from Northwich to be with us. What a lovely thing to do, especially on such a cold and icy December evening. We hope you enjoyed your first session at Goodgym Gemma and that you’ll come and join us again soon! We really loved having you and enjoyed chatting on our run and during the task.
We started our evening with a quick warm up (which I almost forgot to do – oops!!) followed by a circular route out down Wistaston Road and back via Gainsborough. We clocked 2 miles in total. We were a tad short when we got to the task so we rounded it up (not that we’re anal or anything! 😉). It was really cold tonight but we’d soon warmed up (mostly!) by the time we got back.
We were back at one of our favourite tasks tonight, My CWA. We always love being there – we always receive such a lovely welcome and our help is always so gratefully received (it’s also warm, so that’s a huge bonus in the winter!!). Tonight we were tasked with a couple of different jobs. Firstly we did some sorting of Christmas gifts ready for the clients who will be coming to pick them up ready for Christmas. It was a lovely little job and nice to see the shelves filling up with Christmas gifts. Once we’d done that, we cleared out one of the storage rooms. A room that had racking full of boxes had to be emptied. We moved dozens of boxes from one side of the building to other (and trust me, it’s a big building - it was a great way of getting our steps up though!). But, with 6 pairs of hands, we soon had it done and the room was empty in no time. I think our job next time will be to dismantle the racking and move that down to the same room.
And we can’t let the run report pass without a BIG shout out for Emily who tonight hit her 100th TASK milestone!! What an amazing achievement Emily. We are all incredibly proud of you. You are such an important part of the Goodgym family and Goodgym honestly wouldn’t be the same without you!! To celebrate Emily’s incredible achievement, we headed over to Hops bar for a celebratory drink and a slice of Colin (every 100 milestone has to be celebrated with Colin – it’s tradition!!). Colin, crisps and a cold beer went down very well but the company went down even better! It’s always a pleasure to be out with our lovely Goodgym Gang and it was great to have a new recruit tonight with Gemma!
Well done on another fab task completed everyone. You’re all amazing and I love spending my Wednesday nights with you (there’s nowhere I’d rather be!).
Have a great week and hope to see you back with Santa next Wednesday!
Oodles of love, Nicola xxx
PS - Big thank you to Nigel for tonight's pun! Saved me a good couple of hours brainache!!!

Great evening recounted so eloquently by Nicola, as always. It was a special evening as we marked Emily's 100th mission with the Crewe Goodgym team and as we welcomed Gemma our new member. Love our Wednesday evenings and socials.
