Today, alongside the other awesome City Harvest volunteers, myself and Heidi helped sort two big van loads of surplus food at City Harvest.

In between the deliveries we also did lots of sorting of crates so they stacked nice and neatly ready to use for the next team of volunteers.

It was a beautiful day so the crate sorting was also a good opportunity to catch some sun outside too!

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
