The ladies at Lavender Hope were happy to see us (and one is even tempted to join!) They had plenty for us to do ahead of a private hire booking this weekend. We started with weeding the garden, although the tools were being elusive, so we worked with gloved hands and some kitchen knives to get between the paving stone gaps! Just as the tools were found we were switching to the next task - cleaning all the chairs stacked inside. We sprayed and wiped in the recently painted hall (courtesy of GoodGym), which looked great, until all the chairs were done. Given there was only three of us, the task of moving the very large fridge is something for another day…

Lavender Hope
We want to help the local community by becoming a hub for people to come and feel at home, whereby we can assist with social inclusion.

We want to be able to help people with training for qualifications or CV help and advice, basically vocational rehab. Additionally, a safe place for children to come to after school, with their parent's consent to come and either partake in after-school activities, e.g games, cooking. We would also like to signpost people who may be suffering from mental health issues and lastly benefit help utilizing turn2us and calling Universal credit. We are here to help people get back on their feet, with care and support.
