7 people ran 8k to doing some gardening for Stanhope Community Centre

We were a bit light on numbers tonight, but it was still great to see Dionne back with us for the first time for a while.

We set off to Stanhope in our tightly nipped group. On arrival our job was to remove a load of pesky ivy from the plants in the garden. What looked like a quick task took a little longer than expected, as the stuff seemed everywhere! Aswell as Ivy removal responsibilities Rob got his hose out for a bit of watering and Aaron did a bit of grass cutting.

Once that was done, fitness session time had arrived. Tonight was the dreaded hills! Eight minutes of running up fast and then jogging back down to recover. Believe me, eight minutes of that is tough! Rob and Aaron raced each other at the front, while Dionne was in great form on her first session in a while, she certainly has been keeping herself fit. Laura and Fiona, pushed each other along showing great form getting up onto their collective toes and Garry showed his customary short quick strides and powerful arm action on his first GG run for a few weeks, after being on his holi-bobs.

Once done it was a walk down the hill to get some oxygen back into those grateful lungs, followed by a steady run back.

We have now got a GoodGym Birmingham Instagram account so please give us a follow here (https://www.instagram.com/goodgym_birmingham/)

Next week we will be out doing good again, it would be great if you could join us sign up here.
