Four GoodGymers met on a misty Sunday morning as they were called upon to help Ian and the Green team of Old Alleynian Rugby Club clear an area of brambles and prickly pear trees.

Sam, Ana, Adam and George met by the garden shed near the clubhouse before making their way down to Ian.

They all found out that it was George's second good deed with GoodGym and it was great to have him along as he literally bleed for this task (he got a small cut on his forehead...those prickly thorns!).

Yet, according to Ana the prickly pear trees and brambles were "less prickly this month".

Our aim was to cut around 5 metres of the thorny area, but over the hour and a half, we managed to cut in excess of that. Look at the transformational photos in this report!

Ian and the team were very pleased with our efforts as we cut down multiple trees to manage the area. We were given some treats during and after the task as a thank you from Ian.

We're back at Old Alleynian Rugby Club at the end of April and there will probably be an volunteer open day to get everyone involved with a big spring clean up.
