Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sarah Whitehouse
For part 2 of our task at the Seddon Community Centre, Ramon and I set to cleaning out the new food bank space, giving ourselves quite the workout with brooms, mops and buckets! I confess, my spine feels somewhat creaky now! We worked hard, laughed hard and did battle with 10 years' worth of dust and grime (not to mention rehoming an uncountable number of snails and spiders!). Guttering was weeded, walls and ceilings and floor were brushed and washed down with disinfectant, and the patio outside swept and scrubbed. Once again, host Sunder seemed delighted by our efforts. Every step towards moving the Beaumont Road Estate food bank off the pavement and into a secure storage space feels like a small victory. There is more to be done, and I'm certain this won't be our last visit. Here's to seeing the new food bank up and running very soon!

Haha - Tony - in my "real life" I'm a professional wordsmith ;-) Task was great - it's really nice to be part of building this relationship between Goodgym and the Seddon Community Centre - I'm very happy to be part of it :-)

I was going to ask if you were a pro writer 😁. So glad that you, Ramon and Helen have been able to build this relationship. Go team Good Gym!

Some lovely feedback from the task owner. "Just reporting another successful day and a huge thank you to Sarah and Ramon for their hard work at the Seddon yesterday, washing out the store area and helping us move a few light items. The pictures speak for themselves. We are really appreciative their working and looking to book in more work shortly."
