Report written by Melanie Young (she/her)
It was just me that could make it in the end but i managed to make some progress clearing the mud that, fortunately, had been left outside at the kitchen door to Gardener's House.
A broom, a brush, a pan and a a lot of shaking, rattling and thrashing led to mud being moved from the mat and slab to a very full bucket.
As a "treat" I was let loose with some grey paint for some signs, much of which seems to be all over my hands in lovely smudginess. It's the new fashion, honest.
There's scope for more GG helping out, so watch this space!
A great place to enjoy the outdoors, mind, body and soul. Tyntesfield, just a stone’s throw away from Bristol, was not built as a bold and extravagant statement of wealth, power or politics. Its purpose was simple; to serve as a family home. Once hidden and inaccessible, the ordinary and extraordinary lives and possessions of four generations of the Gibbs family are ready for discovery. The garden and estate balance faded beauty and function with an abundance of nature; celebrated in ornate Gothic carvings that decorate the house. Flower filled terraces, an empty lake, woodland, champion trees and productive kitchen garden give further opportunities for exploration. With each season you will experience a new side to Tyntesfield as we open doors and change perspectives on this much loved family estate.
