Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Eight runners joined us today at Telegraph Hill Under 5s Playclub from Southwark, Lambeth and Wandsworth including first time runner Romain - welcome to the Good Gym family!!
With many arriving after completing some windy / hilly / speedy parkruns at Peckham Rye and Hilly Fields, we met Dave who introduced us to the club and the task. Telegraph Hill Playclub is a community playclub for under 5s and their carers - with sessions run by volunteers, admission is free and their were plenty of families making the most of the dry day!
Their tag line is Drop in and Play - drop in and sieve more like!
The aim was to help transform the gardens - including preparing beds for a sensory garden and fruit and vegetable patches. On one side of the fence, Frances made a flower bed and planted 100 daffodil bulbs and on the other side David and Scott were digging, building and preparing even more flower beds. The rest of us were in the main garden. Between us, we sieved what felt like tonnes of soil, separating out stones, glass and random bolts to ensure the kids could play safely and enjoy their garden. We then emptied the beautifully sieved soil into flower beds a plenty and gave the tyre pots and general area a good old clean too.
The kids and parents were all very intrigued too so we did our bit to spread the GoodGym name and Theo found a toad - is there a rule about animals joining GoodGym?
We spent two enjoyable hours working away stopping only for a much deserved break for tea and cake. Thanks to everyone for making such an awesome impact to the playclub - Dave and Melissa were ecstatic with our work so hopefully we'll be back again soon!
Free community playclub for under 5s and their carers.

We've had a dog at GoodGym Lewisham before now and she even has her own GG bandana, not sure they come in toad sizes though!
