Burning of the clocks is a Brighton tradition. A non religious parade celebrating the Solstice and ending the old year and starting the new.

Meeting in the Ledwood Centre to collect our buckets, lap coats and all important fairy lights!

We welcomed John Cunningham for his first community mission!

We spread out along the parade collecting donations to support the parades running.

Ending up at Maderia Drive to watch the clock effigy literally being burnt and the fireworks.

We handed back our buckets and had mulled wine and a mince pie

Same Sky is an award-winning community arts charity. Since 1987 we have been creating magical, out-of-this-world events like luminous night-time parades, working with local authorities, arts festivals, businesses, schools, community groups and individuals. Alongside our commissioned work, we build connections with people who’ve never been involved with art before, and those in hard-to-reach groups in the community.
