The wind was howling, the rain was pouring, but it takes more than that for GGC&V to pull out of a task. Nathan, Emma and Andrew headed across to Penarth to meet Friends of Victoria Square who needing help filling their new planters.

After being shown the soil (approx. 3000kg) and the planters, the group spent a good hour shovelling and having a good catch up. Having not seen each other in so long there was so much to catch up on – babies, album releases, new jobs, the merits of burning peat to name a few

This was one of those tasks you knew you’d been on when you got home, a proper work out for the arms and back. And a good start made ready for the second group arriving on Saturday morning to shovel more soil, in hopefully nicer conditions.
