Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
Whilst familiarity isn't always seen as a positive, for today's shopping mission for the always friendly Ms D it proved an absolute benefit. As we ran through her list, it became a little like a radio panel show where she would start with the item as written on her list and I would have to try and complete the full description to double check she got what she actually wanted - Chunky soup beginning with M turned out to be minestrone, and cheap tv paper proved to be this week's listings for a bargain price of 82p...
Fortunately the aisles of Waitrose were also in on the game, and apart from a lack of frozen broad beans (I blame the cold spell...), the list was soon all ticked off with only a few substitutes required. Ms D is always pleasantly surprised when I return having found everything she asked for (apart from the beans, for which she forgave me), and especially delighted that I'd found the toothbrush and nail file aisle too.
