Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

With Rebecca out of action, Beth and James were enlisted to tell some newcomers all about GoodGym. We met in Brockwell park, just outside the lido where distinguishing the wannabe GoodGymers from the regular gym goers and runners was harder than we thought.

James acted as a great beacon though and by 12.30pm we'd recruited some runners eager to give GoodGym a try. We started with a warm up jog and followed that up with some hill sprints interspersed with information about GoodGym. We talked about group runs, coach runs, races and the social stuff that we get up to.

Once everyone was fully informed we headed back up the hill to the Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. There were two jobs on offer, shoveling manure and cleaning windows. Five of us opted for the slightly cleaner job of washing down the windows along one side of the greenhouse and had everything looking sparkling within 20 minutes.

For James, Robbie and Emma the lure of the manure was too strong to resist and they got to work moving it from one compost bay to another, managing to shift an impressive amount in a short space of time. With our task down all that was left was for us to run back down the hill, do some stretches and say our goodbyes.
