Ms M's large, heavy sofa needed moving out of her top floor flat and down several flights of stairs to make way for a hospital bed to be delivered just an hour later. We had been informed that some "strong men" had struggled getting it into the flat in the first place, so this was a good incentive for the four of us (Nicky, Melanie, Latoya and Abi) to make it look as easy as possible. It was a difficult logistical challenge, involving climbing, crawling , and squeezing into some uncomfortably tight spaces but we got the sofa outside to be collected without any drama. The whole team demonstrated some impressive lifting and maneuvering skills helped in no small way by Latoya's unrivaled spatial awareness. A particularly great effort for both Nicky and Melanie's first mission. After some very warm words of thanks from Ms M we went on our (rainy) ways, leaving the lounge ready for the bed's imminent arrival .
