Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Ruth
Some of us had been running all morning. Some of us had just rolled off the sofa. But what brought us all together was Ms A and her garden in need!
This afternoon Jason, Jennifer, Tanya and I set about cutting, strimming, pruning and sweeping to give the garden a lease of new life.
Ruth and Jason began by cutting back what was a blooming lovely yellow rose bush, but with the old stems and dead heads cut off looks much neater and should hopefully be even more lovely soon with fresh summer growth.
There were a few big green bushes to trim too. So whilst Jennifer got to work on the one in the front garden Tanya tackled the big one at the back of the house which now under control should hopefully give a nice pink flowery one next to if a bit more space to grow.
Including giving the gutters and garden a once over with the broom it took just over an hour. Special mentions to all the friendly snails we disturbed and relocated along the way. Thank you Ms A for looking after us all, she even sent us on our way with a bottle of cold water and a cheeky chocolate biscuit. Yum!
