A lovely mild evening saw 10 of us shimmy on down to DIG on behalf of Cultivate London to finish up the job we started last week. We were joined by three new runners, Nadine, John and Lauriane so a big welcome to all of them!
We started with a little warm up jog down to the park before performing a few warm up drills and a couple of little sprints to wake the legs up for our evening run. With just over 3km each way everyone did really well!
Rosie was ready in waiting when we arrived and this time we put all our efforts into getting the bed we started weeding last week ready for planting. With such a large patch we were in for another evening of hard graft!
Game, set and patch!
Strong team work of digging and wheeling away the weeds meant that after just over half an hour of forkin' hard work the patch was looking great! Compared to when we started last week (when it just looked like a section of grass!) it was complete transformation.
We'll be back over at DIG in the near future to help with other tasks around the site and we look forward to seeing what the patch we've worked on the past two weeks turns into!
