You Did a Grape Job!

In an extraordinary display of community spirit and teamwork, our vibrant team of volunteers—Melissa, Rachel, Hannah, Alessandra, Giovanni, Analisa, and Mikhail—embarked on a mission that was nothing short of heroic. Within this dynamic group, we witnessed a special milestone as Rachel from Tower Hamlets completed her very first good deed with GoodGym, diving into the tasks with enthusiasm and a heart full of eagerness to make a difference. Alongside her, Hannah, a familiar face to GoodGym Lambeth returned to the fold. Together, they tackled the heart of the Borough Food Collective, armed with determination and an unmatched zeal for service. From the leafy greens of kale and chard that now gleam like emeralds, thanks to their meticulous cleaning, to the bunches of grapes that were sorted with laughter and precision.

The kitchen surfaces, once weary from use, shone brightly under their care, and loaves of bread were cut with the precision of skilled artisans, ready to bring warmth and sustenance to many. But their journey didn’t end there! The team also took on the vital task of collecting a delivery from the Felix Project, ensuring that the Borough Food Collective was stocked with essential supplies. It was a ballet of coordination and hard work, where every volunteer, whether marking a first good deed or returning as a seasoned contributor, played a crucial role. With each box and bag carefully transported and unloaded, their efforts painted a vivid picture of community, care, and collaboration. As we reflect on the day’s achievements, it’s clear that this incredible team didn’t just do a good job; they did a grape job!
