Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
10 Goodgym members spent part of a beautiful sunny afternoon helping out at the Chalk Farm Food Bank at the Chalk Farm Baptist Church. 1.5 tonnes (yes, tonnes) of food was being delivered from a national supermarket initiative which is helping to get food to those who really need it. The work of the food bank is critical at this time of year, as during the school holidays families who are already struggling need to provide an extra meal for their kids.
A white transit van (what else?) arrived with crates upon crates of food which the GoodGym team eagerly grabbed, weighed and ran up the stairs to store. This task could take all day for the staff, but they were delighted that our numbers made short work of it. In fact, we had so much time to spare that we pulled out a dozen crates to sort and mark by expiry dates before putting them back in a beautiful chronological order that your dad's vinyl album collection couldn't match.
A mini social followed for a breakaway group, consisting of ice cold drinks + politics + a cheeky (insert chicken shop name here).
